It’s that time of year. The days get a little shorter, the wind seems to be whipping around a little more and there is a crispness in the air. An unmistakable cripsness that whispers, “playoffs”. Yes, its that time of year, October, one of the best sports months of the year and the beginning of the 2009 MLB Playoffs. For the only time all year, football will take a backseat to baseball with some great matchups on the playoff schedule.
I guess 162 games wasn’t enough to determine an AL Central champ, so after a barn burner of a tiebreak last night, the underdog Minnesota Twins have been crowned and will move on to face MLB’s best team at Yankee Stadium tonight. Also on Wednesday, St. Louis will travel to Los Angeles and Colorado heads to Philly. Boston will take on the Angels from Anaheim in their first game on Thursday.
Here are MG Sports picks for the 2009 MLB postseason…
