Farmingdale, NY - Play was suspended due to rain in Round 1 at this year’s U.S. Open at Beth Page, forcing extended play on Saturday. Round 3 is scheduled to start at 5:30pm EST, weather permitting. Long Island has fallen victim to over a week of wet weather and the Black Course continues to soften. After 2 rounds, Woods sits at +3, working his way back into the picture after a dismal opening round, finishing today’s session at -1. He’ll have to work his usual magic and then some to make himself signifigant on Sunday/Monday.

Meanwhile, Phil Mickelson has started strong yet still sits 7 strokes behind current leader Ricky Barnes (-8). Lefty holds at -1 after 2 rounds, tied for 12th place.
